Kris Newman

Liturgical Minister for 7:30 Mass

Kris was born in Troy and grew up here also.  She has been a parishioner of St. Michael’s for 35 years and has served several times on the Pastoral Council, on both building/renovation committees, as a religious education teacher for 15 years and as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for many years.  Kris received her nursing degree from Russell Sage College and is a graduate of Albany Medical College with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She presently works at RPI in their Student Health Center.  Her husband Mike and Kris have lived in North Greenbush for the past 35 years and have 3 adult children and 1 granddaughter.  Kris’s hobbies include Jazzercise, hiking, biking and traveling.   Her favorite thing about St. Michael’s is the fact that the parishoners of St Michael’s are so willing to give of their time, talent and treasure. Her favorite quotes are: “There’s so much to be grateful for.”  “Thing’s could always be worse.”
