Jesus is quite blunt about what it’s going to cost to be His disciple. He speaks in terms of “hating” our parents, siblings etc…of carrying the cross…and of renouncing all of our possessions if we want to follow Him.

Jesus is out having dinner at the home of one of the Pharisees.
